St Mary's Anaesthetic Department

St Mary’s is a large and busy anaesthetic department. There are over 40 anaesthetic consultants and around 25 anaesthetic doctors in training. The department also hosts clinical attachment trainees & medical students.

St Mary’s is the North West London Trauma Centre so a lot of the department’s work involves trauma (both in the operating theatres and in the Emergency Department).

The department also provides anaesthetic services for Major Vascular surgery, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastic surgery, ENT, General surgery and Bariatric surgery.
